I began my formal musical training studying classical percussion at the Music School of Quintana Roo State in Mexico, where I earned a comprehensive education in music theory and performance across a wide range of percussion instruments.
My passion for rhythm took me to Havana, Cuba, to dive deep into traditional Cuban percussion techniques, and I have refined my skills in masterclasses with world-renowned drummers, including Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez and Ari Hoenig.
As an educator, I am committed to making music accessible. I have led community arts initiatives, taught in private schools, and built a thriving independent teaching practice. My goal is to help students build strong technical foundations while discovering their unique musical voice.
With over a decade of professional experience performing across rock, pop, and Latin jazz, I bring real-world insight to every lesson. Whether you are a beginner finding your rhythm or an advanced player looking to refine your technique, my approach blends classical discipline with the vibrant energy of contemporary and world music. I believe in teaching music, not just rudiments. My students learn to read, improvise, and play the songs they love.
